Dundee v Saints Preview

It's a jinx that seems to trouble most teams in most countries. Win manager of the month and you can expect a defeat. With Dundee in a bit of a mess at the moment, there's even more chance of that.

After being relegated from the SPL last season, Dundee have been providing everyone with a good laugh, the size of which has not been seen since... well last season, when we had Partick Thistle's company. Dundee were top of the table after a few games, then sacked Jim Duffy after a defeat to Stranraer in the cup. It seems that a team as big and massive as Dundee should be wiping the floor with such a diddy mob. This surely makes you wonder how long current boss Alan Kernaghan has, as the league form is far, far worse than it was back then. Dundee have a few decent strikers who could cause us problems, with Simon Lynch and Steven Craig both on decent form.

Two Saints players celebrate their birthday's tomorrow, with Charlie Adam and Brian McGinty both getting another year older. It would be nice if they celebrated with a goal, although we'll settle for a shot on goal from McGinty. John Sutton will be looking to score against the side he was on loan at last season and Saints should go with the same team that gubbed Ross County so brilliantly last weekend. Craig Hinchcliffe is out, whilst Ryan McCay will probably be absent as well.

A win would send us eighteen points clear of Dundee, but I don't see it happening and think Dundee will win 1-0.
