Brechin City v Saints Preview

Brechin may be the bottom club, but this game will not be easy. Just ask Ross County, who were heading to a 3-1 defeat at Glebe Park before two late goals rescued a point. They have also recently changed manager, with former Saint John Hillcoat one of the caretaker bosses, which is never good.

Saints will probably go with the same team that beat Clyde on Saturday, with Craig Hinchcliffe the only definite absentee. Somehting needs to be done in the striking department, however, as we're having to rely on the likes of Charlie Adam and Iain Anderson to dig us out of holes at the moment. Stewart Kean and John Sutton have scored just three goals between them this year, two of them penalties, whilst Mark Corcoran's goals have also dried up. Could it be time to give Billy Mehmet his chance?

Brechin have a number of former Saints on their books apart from Hillcoat, such as Scott Walker, Alex Burns and Ally Mitchell. Burns and Mitchell were relatively anonymous during their time at Love Street, which should ensure they score against us tonight. Walker was with us the last time we won the league and scored a fantastic goal against County on Saturday.

With our poor form in front of goal and Brechin feeling angry at letting some points slip away on Saturday, I think we'll lose 1-0 with Scott Walker scoring at a corner.
