We're a quarter of the way through the January transfer window and Saints have already signed one player. Will there be any more comings and goings before the end of the month? Welcome to the Rumour Mill.

This is a relatively popular feature on Mirren Mad and it's a simple idea. It's basically a list of rumours that have appeared in various places - such as newspapers or the internet - about possible comings and goings at Saints. If a rumour turns out to be true or complete nonsense, this will be confirmed in a future issue. Any player who leaves or signs without being mentioned here first won't appear in the future.

As this is the first issue since the summer transfer window, I'll include details of rumours from then.

Filipe Morais: A right winger with Hibs who we may be after. We need a right winger, but Morais seems to have a few off the pitch problems.

Gary Harkins: Saints supposedly tried to sign the Partick Thistle midfielder in the summer and, along with Aberdeen, are supposedly after him again.

Robbie Winters: It wouldn't be a transfer window if we weren't after him. There's also interest from Kilmarnock and Hamilton.

OUT

Sean Burns: Stenhousemuir fans believe they are getting a young Saints striker on loan soon and Burns fits the bill.

Andy Dorman: Bolton were supposedly interested in the summer and the link re-emerged today. Sheffield United and Bristol City may also be interested.

Will Haining: An extremely unreliable messageboard says Hearts want him.

Jim Hamilton: Kilmarnock, Falkirk and Hamilton are all after the veteran striker, who has been doing well in recent weeks.

Mark Howard: Wanted by Rangers apparently. No, I can't believe it either.

Billy Mehmet: Linked with moves to Hearts and Kilmarnock on various messageboards. Can't see it.

Charlie Adam: Stayed at Rangers, although is apparently free to leave.
