How You Can Help

Black and White Scheme: The Black and White Scheme has been running for a few years under a few different names. For just £1 a week you will be entered into five prize draws a week and will receive the Black and White magazine every couple of months. I joined up to this year and it is brilliant, the magazine is extremely interesting and the prizes on other, such as signed shirts and matchday hospitaly, are fantastic. To find out more information, head over to http://www.bwright.freewebspace.com/ where you can also download a membership form.

SMiSA: The St. Mirren Independent Supporter's Association has been around for just over three years now, yet unfortunately still has under 100 members. This is not good as supporters associations like SMiSA are vital to Saints. I admit I am not a member but this is because I'm a scrounging student and can't afford to lose another tenner a month. In the past they have funded a pre season trip to Seamill Hydro and sponsor the ball boy's, as well as donating to the club's youth system. There is also the annual Saints Aid event, which gives Saints fans the opportunity to bid for a place in two teams of supporters to play on the hallowed turf. For more information on SMiSA, along with details on how to join for just £10 a month, visit http://www.smisa.net

Provan Sports: Provan Sports are in charge of Saints merchandising department. They sell the strips as well as lots of other goodies. They can usually be found outside Love Street on matchdays and have a shop in Paisley town centre. Their online shop can be found at http://www.stmirrendirect.co.uk/ so go there now and buy something, as some of the money will find it's way back to Saints.

Save Our Saints: This article is going in to the newly opened Save Our Saints section of the website, however whilst typing this it seems I was beating by the folks on Black and White Army. They have set up a thread with some alternative fund raising ideas which could raise a lot of additional cash for Saints. The thread is at http://www.blackandwhitearmy.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8706 so if you want to take part in a fundraising event or suggest one, head over there.

It might be nothing less than advertising for these various organisations, but in the end it's for the good of our football club so even if only one person ends up spending money as a result of reading this article it's been worthwhile.
