Talk of as many as six players - the other three being Jamie McCluskey, Kyle Faulds and Peter Bradley - going to Galway United emerged at the end of January, but it has all gone pretty quiet since then. However, newspaper reports today suggest Love, McKernon and Horne will soon be crossing the Irish Sea.
The only surprise is that Love is going on loan, as he is ideal back-up at leftback and is on the fringes of the first time.
With the new Irish season starting soon, and Galway United apparently short of players due to financial difficulties, this seems like a great chance for the trio to get some first team experience at a decent level.
