Well Done Chris

Chris went on loan to Brighton a few months ago from Stoke, and will probably move there permanently in the summer. He has linked up well with former Chelsea starlet Leon Knight, and had a hand in the only goal of the game. Brighton beat Bristol City, who included former Falkirk player Lee Miller in their starting line up.

Iwelumo left Love Street in the summer of 1998 for a Danish club. He ended up at Stoke some time during our title year, and was sent on loan to various lower league clubs before helping them win the second division playoffs a few years back. He's making a habit of that isn't he?

It was almost a double celebration for former Saints over the playoff weekend. Junior Mendes was playing up front for Mansfield Town, but went off injured during the second half. Mansfield scored in stoppage time, but the goal was mysteriously chalked off. The game ended up going to penalties, and Mansfield's opponents Huddersfield Town won with ease. One of the missed penalties was a work of genius, the Mansfield player trying a chip penalty and chipped it onto the bar. Maybe that's why he'll be in division three next year!
