Wardlaw next to swap clubs?

Wardlaw, who has also had spells with Ayr United and Raith Rovers, signed a contract before Cowdenbeath manager Danny Lennon became Saints' new boss. However, some sort of error involving Cowdenbeath and the Blue Brazil apparently means the contract may not be valid and he could sign for Saints.

Wardlaw scored 19 goals for Cowdenbeath last season, but that seems to be a blip in his career as the stats for his other years - aside from one campaign at Ayr - are far from impressive. He doesn't seem to have what it takes to cut it in the SPL. While there was logic behind nicking Darren McGregor, Paul McQuade and Peter BRadley from Cowdenbeath, there seems little sense in this move.

It's worth noting that during the season, Cowdenbeath were up for sale and our loveable friends at Spartans considered buying them. Perhaps it would have been far easier and quicker if we'd just paid a small fee and bought them as it's surely only a matter of time until the rest of the club ends up at Greenhill Road!
