Vanzy had been training with Saints in recent weeks following his surprise release by Hibs, whom he signed for after leaving Love Street in 2008. Many fans had hoped he'd come back to the club permanently, but sadly no deal was forthcoming.
Instead, he has signed for Morton - who are battling relegation from the first division - until the end of 2009. He may not be the last former Saint to join them either; Alan Reid also played as a trialist last week, while there are rumours Kilmarnock could be set to loan them Allan Russell.
