Twaddle bid rejected

Rumours of Saints' interest in the former Falkirk player emerged over the weekend and it seems a bid was made sometime in the last day or so. However, according to Sky Sports News an offer has been rejected.

It is believed that Saints were willing to offer £40,000 for the player, while Thistle wanted £100,000. There's still around 90 minutes left until the deadline so there is still an outside chance the deal could be resurrected.

Saints are also believed to be trying to bring Steven Smith to the club on a permanent basis. A loan deal for the Rangers player was agreed last week but fell through due to SPL rules. Bringing the leftback to the club permanently could happen.
