Trio Released

The news about Bullock was common knowledge and there were suspicions that McKenna was also on his way out. However, Gemmill would have been handy to have for the under 21 rules next season and is perhaps a bit of a surprise.

McKenna and Gemmill haven't featured much over the past few years, but McKenna had an extremely successful spell at Cowdenbeath on loan last season. He scored 11 goals in 15 games to help them secure the third division title.

Meanwhile, Alan Reid, Billy Mehmet and David Barron have all been offered new deals. Surprisingly, so has Ryan McCay - who is a few months older than McKenna and has hardly featured this season. If he's still elligible for the under 21 rule, surely so is McKenna and he should be kept?

There is no update on John Sutton's situation, while there is absolutely no news on the other players who are supposedly out of contract - such as Stewart Kean, Hugh Murray and John Potter.
