Trialists Will Not Be Signed

Ramsay, previously of Motherwell, and Hardy, once with Blackburn Rovers, both played against Morton on Saturday and were both extremely poor. Hardy played down the left and put in a few decent crosses, but no one got on the end of them, whilst Ramsay did little of note. Neither will be missed.
Currie, however, can feel annoyed that he wasn't signed. A goal against Gretna, and one in a closed doors game with Hibs, would probably have been enough to win him a deal had he been a striker. However, he is a defender/right back, and as the club has many defenders and a new right back in David van Zanten, he wasn't signed.

Meanwhile, the future of another trialist has not been revealed. Former Rangers striker John McDonald was expected to play against Morton, but didn't. Whether this means his trial period has also proved unsuccesful is unknown.
