Trialists to get another shot

Last updated : 06 July 2011 By Stuart Gillespie

The pair - a Dutch leftback and a striker who has been in America - both played the first half, with the leftback also turning out in the second.

The leftback seems to have done anything to earn himself another go against Ayr on Saturday and it's likely the striker - who scored a peach in last night's 1-1 draw - will also get another chance at Somerset.

The club has yet to reveal who the players are, but it's believed the leftback is Jeroen Tesselaar, who plays for AZ Alkmaar and spent last season on loan at Telstar. The striker's name has not appeared yet, but it's thought he's a Scot who was playing in America on a football scholarship (so thankfully not Allan Russell). Worth noting Andy Dorman was originally in the States on a scholarship and he proved to be quite handy!
