Trialists: One In, One Out

Last updated : 12 August 2004 By Stuart Gillespie
Higgins played in an under 19 game last week against Kilmarnock along with a few other trialists, and was the only one who was asked to come back. However, Saints boss Gus MacPherson has decided that he's not worth signing.

The arrival of Alan Reid is interesting. He looked good whilst playing for Hibs last year, and even played for them in this seasons Inter Toto Cup. However, they don't want him, and he is currently clubless. He has already had a trial with St. Johnstone, which came to nothing, so now he's trying the real Saints. Whether we'll be able to afford him if he is good is unknown, but as he is after SPL wages there probably isn't much chance of him signing.
