Transfer Rumours

One player who will definitely not be coming to Love Street is Stephane Bonnes. The rumours that he may be signing were indeed correct, however the move fell through last week. Bonnes will spend this week training with SPL side Dundee United so the move is almost definitely off.

John Coughlin revealed last week that he is currently looking at an SPL standard striker who is out of favour with an SPL club, and it is not Bonnes. Who is it? One possible rumour has been that Saints will be signing Gary Wales from Hearts, either permanently or on loan until the end of the season. Whether this is true or not I don't know.

One of the better ones I've heard is that Saints will be signing Davide Zausa from Livingston. The Candian has been playing reguarly, however Livvy may be trying to offload him as they have a few high earners on the books.

Another rumour doing the rounds is that we have an Australian striker called Paul Harries on trial. Harries was with Partick Thistle on trial earlier this season, but they decided not to sign him. He's currently with a third division club in England, and I don't think this is the quality of player John Coughlin is looking to bring in.

Then there is Moussa Dagnogo, the former Saint who was on trial with Clyde a week or so ago. Whilst not at an SPL club, he is available. Could we be signing him? As well as that, we're supposedly interested in Peterhead striker Martin Johnson.

Andy Dow's supposed move to Raith Rovers was unfortunately untrue so we're probably lumped with him until the end of the season. If Blackburn or Millwall do sign Simon Lappin, it will probably be at the end of the season when they pick him up for almost nothing. There are also rumours that Kilmarnock want Lappin, how true these are I don't know.

The final rumour I've heard is that two players will be signed by Saints today, with Saints legend Mark yardley the player leaving for Albion Rovers. There is a bit of truth in the Yardley leaving story, with Albion boss Peter Heatherston supposedly enquiring about his availability after last week's reserve game. Whether he'll move or not is unknown. Big Yards is on BBC1's Offside at 10.35pm tonight so make sure you watch it!

So there you have it, a rundown on the rumours on who we're signing and who we're getting rid of. Most of it is probably just rumours, however I'd be surprised if Saints didn't make a signing of some sort by the end of the week.
