Top profit for Saints

Last updated : 23 June 2009 By Stuart Gillespie
According to the data from PricewaterhouseCoopers, the SPL clubs collectively made a profit of £23million for the 2007/08 season. Nearly half of that figure - £11million - came from us, with £9.2million generated by the sale of Love Street.

This begs two questions - what happened to the other £1.8million and where are we getting the other money to pay for our new ground, which cost around £15million? Also, can we assume we will record the highest loss next season because we had to pay for St. Mirren Park?
