Thompson staying put

The popular striker was handed a new one year deal last year, which would automatically be extended if he played 25 games. He's easily passed that and has started all 33 of our league games so far, scoring 16 goals along the way. Two more would take him to 50 goals for the club, impressive going in just three season!

The boyhood Buddie's decision to sign for his beloved club has worked out better than anyone could have imagined. He's had three goal filled seasons - some of the most prolific of his career - and helped us win the League Cup. The fact he's staying on is good news and, even though he's 35, he still seems to have a good few years left in him.
