Saints v Saints Preview

Last updated : 24 October 2003 By Stuart Gillespie
Eddie Annand is out tomorrow, which is bad news, however Barry Lavety and Allan Russell are expected to be fit enough to play. Laurie Ellis and John O'Neill are also fit, as is Paul McKnight. Simon Lappin, David Jack and Kevin Twaddle are all absent through injury.

St. Johnstone don't have diving ned boy Paul Hartley anymore, but do have diving ned boy Keigan Parker, who seems to be wanting to take over Hartley's mantle. He already has the silly haircut! The Fake Saints also have Mixu Put A Line On from Hibs, a striker extremely like Basher in that he is fat, tall, blonde and a Hibs reject. He managed a hat trick last week, but hopefully won't get that tomorrow.

Saints v Saints at Love Street a few years ago was the scene of the best friendly match ever. The Real Saints won 3-2 in what was effectively a grudge match after Paul hartley and Alan Main's actions had effectively relegated us from the SPL the previous season. Each side had two players sent off (remember, this was a friendly match!) and the real Saints fans shouted abuse at the cheats any time they went near the ball. Top quality entertainment.

Prediction for tomorrow? No idea but I think Saints will take something from the game.
