Saints v Morton Preview

During the close season, after their relegation to division 3, Morton seem to have found some money from somewhere. I've been told (though can't confirm) that various parts of Cappielow have been improved (well the weather has been poor recently). They have made some signings, such as Alex Williams from Stirling for £50,000, money I wished Saints had. They've also signed a couple of Aussies, and have beaten off SPL clubs to sign the trio. All this, and probably a few more signings I've missed, make Morton firm favourites for division 3. I also think they'll do well in the league challenge cup, and even have a chance of beating Saints tomorrow. Actually, from our pre season form (1 draw from 4 games), they have an awsome chance of beating us, and are also rumoured to be bringing a large number of fans.

Saints will probably include recent signings Richard Robb and Billy Bauld, as well as any other trialists who are kicking around. Mark Yardley may be back after his operation, and he scored a few goals against Arthurlie midweek. Junior Mendes is doubtful but will hopefully play, as we look much stronger with three up front. Jamie McGowan may also be fit, as could Ian Ross.

So it should be a good game tomorrow, and a chance for revenge after Jose Quitongo looked good when he scored against us for Morton before the SPL season. As long as Morton don't win, we get some goals and no one in our side is injured or sent off, I'll be happy.
