Saints v Celtic Preview

Last updated : 30 July 2002 By Stuart Gillespie
Martin Cameron, Ian Ross, Sergei Baltacha and Junior Mendes are all expected to miss out. Greg Denham is out for about a month so god knows what sort of team we'll have out. Simon Lappin will probably come in for Cameron, whilst the rest is likely to be near enough the same as last weeks shocking first half display against Morton. This means another game of watching Chris Kerr and Paul Rudden struggling as left and right backs respectively, and the sooner Tom Hendrie realises they can't play there the better. Get it back to a 3-4-3 and we're laughing.

Celtic are expected to bring a full strength squad, so the likes of Henrik Larsson and Didier Agathe, the goalscorers last time Celtic visited Love Street, are likely to play. Possibly playing could be newboys Ulrik Laursen and Magnus Hedman, if they have signed in time. God knows when they'll sign, but if they've signed today they could play tonight. Sadly, unless Tom Boyd or Jonathon Gould plays, Saints probably won't score. if either of them do score, we could get loads!

So heres to the final friendly of the pre season. lets hope its a good one and we get no injuries, suspensions or Celtic fans in the home end.
