Saints Negotiate With Anderson

Last updated : 05 January 2006 By Stuart Gillespie
Anderson is a left winger, and quite what we need with one of them I don't know. Simon Lappin and Mark Corcoran can both play on the left, as can Alan Reid and youngster Ryan McCay. If we were going to sign a winger, it would surely make more sense to sign one for the right side of the pitch. Having now read the web, it seems that he can play on both, but is actually a right winger. Oops!

Anderson has scored for the Dark Blues this season, but that hasn't helped them much as they currently sit seventh in the table. He is in his second spell with Dundee, and has also had spells at Toulose, Preston, Grimsby and Tranmere.

Will this be a good signing? Who knows, but judging by his position and the fact he isn't doing well for a not very good side, it's a bit of a gamble.

Saints have already had bids for Ross County star John Rankin and Stranraer goalkeeper Barry John Corr turned down in recent weeks.
