In fairness to him, it seems that was more down to financial issues than anything else - although how we can afford him and they can't despite making some big name signings is a bit of a mystery!
I'll be honest and say I don't rate Duff and I don't think too many fans of his former clubs do either. He is versatile as he can also fill in at the back, but a defensive midfielder is not what we need at the moment - especially this one.
A two-year deal is apparently on the table for Duff and a decision could be made by the end of the week.
Lennon has also indicated he could bring someone in this week to bolster our striking options as we have no forwards available for Sunday's game against Celtic. However, he'll only do a deal if the price is right.
