Saints are safe!

It's at this point you probably expect me to say it was all a big act, that I never really felt we'd go down. Wrong! 13 points clear at the split should have been easy enough and even eight points with three games left. However, Dundee's relentless form, combined with our shocker at Tynecastle yesterday, had me rather worried.

Those fears increased when Jim McAlister gave Dundee the lead and even more when Rory Fallon got sent off. However, Niall McGinn brought the Dons level with a penalty and some fine saves from Jamie Langfield (who's from Paisley!) saw them deny the Dee the win that would have taken the relegation battle on another week.

I'll admit I celebrated at full-time, probably more out of relief than anything else. Things got far too close for comfort and big questions still need to be asked about what's happening. How can we win the cup yet almost be dragged into a relegation fight?

Dundee boss John Brown also needs to wonder if he should have spent a bit more time focussing on his own team rather than indulging in mind games with us. A goal up against 10 men in a game you need to win and you can only draw - who's the bottlers now Bomber?

On another note, it was sad to hear the game between Kilmarnock and Hibs had to be abandoned after a fan took ill at the match. Fingers crossed he's OK.
