Saints Aid 3 Announced

Last updated : 05 April 2004 By Stuart Gillespie
Yup, it's Saints Aid time again. The last two years have seen a great deal of money raised for Saints by the St. Mirren Independant Supporters Association, so hopefully this years will be just as good.

It takes place on Sunday May 16th with a 2pm kick off, and places both in the starting lineup and on the bench are up for auction. £99 is the starting bid, but £250 down now guarantees you a place in the side. The bosses of the teams this year will be current Saints boss Gus MacPherson and his assistant Andy Millen.

For taking part you get loads of goodies, such as a Saints shirt with your name, T-Shirt, medal and, of course, the experience of having played on Love Street. With Saints moving from St. Mirren Park in a year or so, this could be your last chance.

I know that if I was fit, could afford it and had boots, shin guards etc it's certainly something I'd want to do. I was lucky enough to play on the turf, and score (taking out the goalie in a Kenny McDowell type way) about 6 years ago, and will never forget it.
