Young striker Paul Quinn has been allowed to leave Saints by mutual consent. The forward failed to make a first team appearance during his time at the club, but scored twice while on loan to Queen's Park earlier this season.

Quinn was the only member of last season's under-19 to be offered a pro contract in the summer, the rest either being released or being kept on for another year in the youth team. He was on the bench a number of times but failed to make it as far as the pitch before his loan spell to Queen's Park, which went reasonably well. He was highly rated at the club so his departure is a bit of a surprise.

Quinn is the fourth player to leave Saints during the transfer window, with Mo Camara and Dennis Wyness being released while Stephen McGinn joined Watford.
