Puri puts pen to paper

The winger, who has been capped 47 times for his country, has spent the week on trial at Saints and was even at the training camp in St Andrews. Despite not winning a contract at Kilmarnock recently, he has done enough to convince Buddies boss Danny Lennon to hand him a deal until the summer - with the option to extend it for a further year.

The 24-year-old has played in several countries in his career, most recently in Finland. International clearance has come through so he is elligible for Sunday. Lennon has already handed Esmael Goncalves his Saints debut at Hampden this season to terrific effect and now he must decide if he wants to take the gamble again.
