Pre-season schedule confirmed

The disappointing thing is that of the seven games listed, not one of them is at St. Mirren Park. This has become the norm in recent years and is pretty poor show, especially as one of the benefits of a season ticket is free entry to friendlies. In fairness,a few Saturdays are still free but I wouldn't hold my breath for any home games on them.

The players will begin pre-season training on July 5 - two weeks on Wednesday - and the first game will be at Cowdenbeath on July 17, part of the compensation package for Danny Lennon coming to Saints. Two days later we're at Dumbarton, and a couple of days after that we go to Brechin. July 25 is a free Saturday, but two days later we're at Cappielow for the Renfrewshire Cup final.

The tour of Ireland - the first foreign tour since 2007 - begins at Ballymena on Saturday, July 31. The following Tuesday we're at Derry City, before ending on Thursday, August 5 at Glenavon.
