Premier tie for winners

Last updated : 06 February 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

No aspect of the tie is known, with Saints and Ross County drawing in Paisley on Saturday before Hearts and the Saintees repeated that scoreline at Tynecastle a day later. The smart money would be on Ross County heading to Perth as both sides have done the hard part by drawing away from home, but you never know with the magic of the cup.

If we were to win then it's a decent tie regardless of who we face. We've beaten St Johnstone twice on their patch this season (although memories of the 2008 quarter-final with them still hurt) while Hearts have dished out a couple of heavy defeats. However, I'd rather have that than a trip to Parkhead - and we did beat them on the way to winning the cup 25 years ago.

Of course, that's IF we beat Ross County - which is far from a certainty.
