Players To Be Taught The Rules

Last updated : 23 January 2005 By Stuart Gillespie
This is a typical piece of SFA thinking. Just about everyone agrees the referee's in our league are awful, the chairmen are meant to be having a meeting about it, so what do the SFA do? Do they actually admit the ref's have been poor, say they'll retrain them or take similar action? Don't be daft.

Some nice man from the SFA will be heading down to Love Street next week to have a quiet chat with the Saints squad about the rules of the game. We must thank Saints boss Gus MacPherson for setting this up, as the SFA have deemed we are worthy of the treatment after Gus dared to express his disapproval at the refereeing in last weekend's match against Raith Rovers.

The SFA really need to see who is at fault; the managers or the refs. For starters they could let the managers actually say that they feel the ref's are poor without going over the top. But, as per usual, the SFA have their fingers in their ears and believe everything is super.
