Player of the Year

Last updated : 28 May 2010 By Stuart Gillespie

The standings were last updated before the split, so here's who won the awards for the last five games:

St. Johnstone: Tie between Billy Mehmet, Stephen O'Donnell and David Barron
Kilmarnock: Lee Mair
Falkirk: Tie between Billy Mehmet and Stephen O'Donnell
Hamilton: Michael Higdon
Aberdeen: John Potter

That leaves the results as follows - with the number in brackets the number of joint awards that player has been involved in, which is used to split players in the event of a tie.

Billy Mehmet 6 (+7)
Michael Higdon 3 (+7)
Chris Innes 3 (+7)
Paul Gallacher 2 (+5)
Hugh Murray 2 (+4)
Craig Dargo 2
Stephen McGinn 1 (+3)
David Barron 1 (+3)
Graham Carey 1 (+1)
Andy Dorman 1 (+2)
John Potter 1 (+1)
Connor Ramsay 1 (+1)
Lee Mair 1
Garry Brady (+1)
Stephen O'Donnell (+2)
Steven Robb (+1)
Jack Ross (+1)

So there you have it folks - the winner, by a considerable margin, is the departed Billy Mehmet. He didn't score many in the league, but he scored a shedload in the cups - including the one against Hearts that took us to Hampden.

Thanks to everyone who voted over the season, the polls will resume again with the start of the new term.
