McGowan is available on a free after leaving Irish side Dundalk last month. The former Stenhousemuir man is predominantly a rightback, a position where we are currently well covered. The trialist who scored two in a friendly with Partick Thistle earlier this week has been named as Andre Martins. The 23-year-old from Portugal had a trial with Dundee United a few years ago and has played for clubs in Bulgaria, Finland and Bolivia.
