No silver lining for McLeod

McLeod was released by Wycombe in the summer and doesn't seem to have played since. It is this that has forced Lennon's hand as he doesn't think the left sided midfielder is fit enough, and won't be fit enough for the best part of two months. I can see both sides of that one - the guy won't be match fit as he hasn't been at a club, but he should have tried to keep his fitness levels up.

That leaves just former East Fife and St. Johnstone man Gordon Gilbert as the only trialist left at the club. The left back, who can also play centre half, will be given a few more days to impress as he got injured during the warm up for Tuesday's bounce game against Newcastle United.
