No Hampden trip for Saints

The other semi-final, between Rangers and St. Johnstone, is going ahead at the national stadium, but it seems the powers that be have decided ours will not. I'm disappointed as I'd looked forward to another trip to Hampden, but perhaps it's the right decision. The atmosphere when we were there for a semi-final against Kilmarnock in 2001 was pretty dire due to the amount of empty space.

Fir Park's capacity should cope - just - with supporters from both clubs and will also ensure there is a decent atmosphere. It had been suggested yesterday that the game would go ahead at Easter Roadm but thankfully the SFL saw sense and decided against giving Hearts a game in Edinburgh!

The tie will be played on Tuesday, February 2 and will kick-off at 7.45pm.
