News Round Up

As I predicted, Saints joined St. Johnstone in being the only teams beaten by the shocking Fifers this season. Raith took their tally to ten points with a 2-0 win at Stark's Park and, to make matters worse, John Baird got sent off! Apparently Saints boss Gus MacPherson is in a bit of bother with the SFA over comments he made to the referee, so it'll be interesting to see if anything comes of that.

There was some good news for Saints with the announcement that we are one of the few clubs to receive the full grant from the SFA for youth development. Many teams were given various grants, but only a few, including Saints, were given the full amount possible because of impressive results in that department. Good stuff.

Apart from that, very little has happened. There have been no signings, whilst MacPherson and Andy Millen still haven't signed their new contracts. A few ex Saints have moved, with Robert Dunn returning to Dumbarton and Burton O'Brien and David McNamee once again being linked with moves away from Livingston.

Hopefully there will be something slightly more newsworthy next week.
