New kit supplier lined up

The new deal is supposed to be the most profitable shirt deal ever, both in terms of sponsorship and manufacturing them. They will continue to be sold by JD Sports in Braehead, the Paisley Centre and Silverburn.

This was supposed to be the first season of a multi-year deal with Carbrini, another brand owned by JD Sports. However, there have been regular problems with the supply and fans claiming staff at the shops don't even know anything about the kit they are supposed to be selling. Reasons given by JD Sports for the problems include the bespoke design of the kit, getting supply to all three stores and the kits proving more popular than expected. All excuses seem highly dubious to me!

Next season will see us with three kits, with a special 135th anniversary kit (no, I don't know why we're marking that either) launched in April. This will be a red and blue hooped number as chosen by the fans. The home kit will be out in April, with the away kit following in August. This will be black with a diagonal red stripe.
