Mooy's Olympic dream dies

The midfielder started today's game in Abu Dhabi, which the Olyroos had to win if they wanted any chance of going to London. Even then a victory would only have put them into a play-off system that makes the SPL's split seem like a good idea.

The defeat means Australia won't be at the Olympics for the first time in 28 years. They've really struggled in qualifying and this was the fifth game running in which they've failed to score - as opposed to the free scoring side Aaron normally plays for!
