Millen to play again

Last updated : 01 February 2011 By Stuart Gillespie

Millen left Saints in the summer following the departure of Gus MacPherson and was on the lookout for a new club after a short stint with Hamilton. He last played a competitive game in March 2008 and while he played in reserve games after that, it's a shock to see him back playing again. While he could well be the fittest player in the league, it's still strange to see him resume his career at 45 after a long spell since his last game.

Millen signing for the Spiders was about the only transfer of note involving a former Saint on deadline day. Alan Combe was released by Kilmarnock, while attempts by Liverpool and Spurs to sign Charlie Adam from Blackpool fell through.
