Millen next to depart

The writing was on the wall for Millen from the moment MacPherson left and the pair will almost certainly be reunited when Gus gets himself a new job, although Andy might fancy trying management for himself.

Millen was MacPherson's first signing at the end of 2003 when he joined as player/assistant manager. He was pretty much an ever present in the team for the next three seasons and was part of the double winning side of 2006/07. He didn't play as much in the SPL, although still made a fair number of appearances and is the oldest ever outfield player to feature in Scotland's top flight.

Sadly, his playing career did not have a fitting end when he was subbed during a horrendous team performance against St. Johnstone in 2008, although he continued to play in the reserves while carrying out his assistant manager duties. Arguably, his future at the club has been in doubt for a few months after a rather public bust up with chairman Stewart Gilmour after our cup final disaster against Rangers.

We're still waiting on confirmation that Stuart Balmer has left but it seems certain he has gone as well, so Mirren Mad would like to wish the pair all the best for the future.

Jenkins was new Saints boss Danny Lennon's assistant at Cowdenbeath and as the Blue Brazil have revealed he has left, it's probably just a matter of time until he arrives at Greenhill Road.
