McShane - who has yet to make his first team debut - has been at the Rock since the start of the season. After a nasty injury, he has been in superb form recently, banging in 13 goals and being named the SFL's young player of the month.
He is clearly a talented player and, at 19, has plenty of time to develop, which is why manager Danny Lennon wants to keep him. The details of the contract offer will be firmed up if and when we seal SPL status.
