Saints midfielder Kenny McLean has been named in the Scotland under-21 squad for next week's friendly against Italy.
The youngster has been in great form this season, although has had a few injury problems in the last few months due to a broken collar bone. However, he's now back fit again and the friendly has come along at just the right time for him - although typically it seems to be the only under-21 game this year that will be played at Easter Road rather than St Mirren Park!
In other Scotland youth team news Thomas Reilly got a run out for the under-18s when they faced Serbia today. Team-mate Jason Naismith was an unused sub in the 1-1 draw with the two sides set to meet again tomorrow.
