McHale On The Move

Paul was with Saints for the last half of the 02/03 season, signing on loan from Rangers on transfer deadline day. He should have had a hat trick on his debut, but each chance fell to him on his left foot, which he uses for standing. After that he turned into a ghost in midfield, although he did score against Inverness Caley Thistle in a 3-1 defeat.

Saints tried signing him permanently, but he decided not to come, and ended up having trials at Hibs and Morton, before being signed for Sauchie. Now he's back in professional football with Cowdenbeath, who were also interested in former Saints goalkeeper Billy Bald a few weeks back.
