McGinn deal signed and sealed

The English Championship side had two offers for McGinn rejected before a third, believed to be in the region of £125,000, was accepted on Wednesday. After that, it was just a case of McGinn agreeing personal terms and passing a medical, two things that were never likely to cause any problems.

Stephen won't make his debut against Doncaster Rovers tomorrow as the signing has come too late. He's been handed the number eight shirt at his new club, suggesting they see him as a key part of the first team.

McGinn had knocked back a new deal at Saints a few months ago, so it's no surprise to see him move on now. Let's just hope we don't regret taking the money instead of keeping him for six months and letting him go for free.

All the best Stephen - thanks for that goal against Rangers.
