Mair extends his stay

Last updated : 16 March 2012 By Stuart Gillespie

Mair has been in fine form for Saints this season, forming part of a defence that has already managed more than twice the number of clean sheets it recorded for the whole of last season. He's also been an aerial threat from set pieces, scoring against Kilmarnock at the start of the year.

The former Aberdeen man arrived in Paisley back in 2009 and, aside from injuries, has been almost ever present in the defence during his time at the club. He's previously had spells with Dundee United, Falkirk and Stockport County - to name but a few.

Mair is the latest player to sign a new deal in recent weeks, following the likes of Jim Goodwin, Darren McGregor and David Barron in committing his future to the club.
