Trialist Sean Lynch has done enough to be offered a contract by Saints boss Danny Lennon. The former Falkirk midfielder has featured in friendlies against Dumbarton, Ayr and Brechin.
Lynch was let go by the Bairns at the end of last season and joined the Saints squad at the start of pre-season training before featuring in the friendlies. Reports from supporters at these games have been far from impressive and it didn't seem like he'd be offered a contract. However, Lennon is hoping to sign Lynch in the next few days.
The 23-year-old started his career with Hibs before moving to Falkirk two years ago. However, he's made just 15 SPL appearances in that period, suggesting he may not be cut out for this level. He also seems to be a pretty defensive midfielder, which is the last thing we need at the moment.
Meanwhile, fellow trialist Stephen Glass has been informed he will not be offered a contract.
