Lauchlan and McDonald Training At Love Street

With the club desperately needing a striker, and with both Barry Lavety and Eddie Annand out injured, McDonald may get his chance to impress against Queens Park on Saturday if trialists are allowed in the League Challenge Cup. It should be noted that this is a different John McDonald to the player on trial with us before the SPL season, who is now at Coleraine. if McDonald doesn't get a game it leaves the deadly strike force of Brian McGinty and Paul McKnight, a duo with 10 goals between them during a collective Saints career of 4 years or so!

Lauchlan is apparently just training with us until he finds a club, and lets hope it stops there. We have enough defenders, and Lauchlan is useless anyway. He has done one useful thing for us, when his handball gave us a penalty at Love Street in the 2-1 game on Sky. I wouldn't sign him in CM, let alone in real life!
