Lappin In, Broadfoot Out

Last updated : 05 October 2005 By Stuart Gillespie
Lappin has been ou of the squad for a while and his recall is a bit strange considering that he is 22! With Scotland unable to qualify for the European finals, you'd have thought coach Ranier Bonhof would want to blood some other players rather than use ones who can't play the next time. Obviously not. Simon probably won't play but the fact he's made it in, even at the second attempt, shows his form is improving.

Broadfoot's withdrawl was expected after he limped off during Saturday's game at Hamilton. The extent of his injury is unknown as of yet, but it is hoped that he will be fit enough to play against Ross County a week on Saturday.
