Kirk Gets Called Up

Last updated : 09 August 2005 By Stuart Gillespie
It's the third time Kirk has been called up to the squad this year. In march he made the bench for the match against Italy, and was on the bench again for the first part of a double header against Moldova. A few days later he finally made his debut against Belarus in a farcical match that was abandoned then restarted!

Broadfoot is one of just two SFL players in the squad, the other being Clyde's Tom Brighton, who is presumably there because of the fact he used to play for Rangers.

This call up is another example of just how highly rated Broadfoot is and it can surely only be a matter of time before the big defender is snapped up by another club. Let's hope we've got him for at least another year.
