Keane Will Be A Saint

Last updated : 03 December 2004 By Stuart Gillespie
Both St. Mirren and St. Johnstone tried to sign him in the summer, with both bids failing. Saints boss Gus MacPherson denied last week that the deal was back on, but it now looks more than certain to go ahead.

Saints have apparently bid £30,000 for the young striker, and if this meets another rejection then he will sign a pre contract agreement in January. With his contract expiring in the summer, the only money Saints will need to pay will be compensation.

This is good news, however I can't help but wonder where we are getting the cash from!
