That would make it seem like a rather pointless transfer. Travner joined us in the summer from Watford on loan until the end of the season. He has now been signed on a permanent contract until the end of the season. There is no mention of an option for it to be extended if we stay up, although manager Danny Lennon is hopeful of keeping the Slovenian if we're still in the SPL next season. The only way this makes sense is if Watford had decided to ditch Travner and were releasing him.
After a slow start, Jure has developed into a real fans favourite with his runs down the left and he scored a last minute winner against Aberdeen in October. If he could just sort out his defending he'd be even better!
Lennon has revealed there are unlikely to be any other signings unless someone moves on, so perhaps this deal is an attempt to fool people into thinking we've signed someone.
