International call for Saints pair

Neither player was named in their country's original squad last week, but injuries have seen them handed a late call-up. A number of players withdraw from the Wales squad to make way for Dorman, while Gallacher gets his place due to an injury to Craig Gordon.

Despite having lived in Wales in his younger years, Dorman only recently became elligible for them after a change in the eligibility rules. Should he play, he will be the first person to benefit from the new rules allowing a player who's only connection to a country is having been schooled there for five years or more. A wee bit of history for him if he plays.

There's a decent chance of the midfielder making the Wales side, but Gallacher is probably up against it. While Gordon is out, David Marshall and Jamie Langfield are still fit at the present time. Gallacher has been capped before for Scotland, although his last game was over five years ago.

Well done to the pair of them - the last time any player was capped while at Saints was Paul Fenwick, who represented Canada in the 1990s. Let's hope it goes well and they don't injure each other in a freak collision!

The game will be played at Cardiff City's new ground on Saturday. There will be no Saints interest in the Scotland under-21 game this week as Stephen McGinn has pulled out due to injury.
