Howard linked with Dons

Howard only played two games for Saints last season, with Paul Gallacher playing the rest. With Chris Smith also on the books, there is a need for one goalie to move on and it had looked like being Gallacheer as St. Johnstone were interested. However, now it seems Howard could be the one to go.

If he goes to Aberdeen, he'll be in the same situation he was at Greenhill Road as he keeps the bench warm while Langfield plays every week. The only difference is he'd probably be getting a wee bit more cash. If he goes to Falkirk, Howard would almost certainly get first team football - but he'd be in the first division.

There are also rumours Smith is wanted by Dunfermline, who he had two loan spells with last season as he recovered from a serious injury.
